Jack Egnatinski was named the 14th president of the Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association (FASA) at the organization's annual meeting on May 8.
The Virgin Islands anesthesiologist has served on the FASA board since 1996. Egnatinski also serves as one of FASA's four appointees to the Board of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
Egnatinski has led efforts to establish the Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASA), the first credential specific to the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) industry for administrators. Egnatinski is the former medical director of Harrison Center Outpatient Surgery in Syracuse, NY.
FASA also selected Allen Hecht president-elect, Alsie Syndress treasurer, and Donna St. Louis secretary. All three have served on the FASA board of directors.
