Homeland One First Responder Network headed to Kansas
Emergency Management Alert, May 3, 2004
The U.S. Department of Justice awarded a $993,500 grant to the University of Kansas to install a Homeland One First Responder Network across the state last week, according to Business Wire.
The Homeland One First Responder Network, developed by PRIMEDIA, will be installed in 319 Kansas locations.
In addition to state-of-the-art modular homeland security training, the Homeland One First Responder Network briefs first responders during emergencies.
Agencies across Kansas will receive four hours of broadcast time over the network each month for incident response, command briefing, or state resource coordination.
New Hampshire was the first state to use the Homeland One Network for more than 607 first responder agencies.
