Henry Ford Health System of Detroit earned $11.7 million in 2003, a year after it lost $11.8 million.
The health system focused on key areas to improve operations and increase revenue in 2003, including expanding clinical areas, improving patient access through reduced appointment wait times, and getting more referrals from primary care physicians to Henry Ford Health System specialists and hospitals.
