Trial pending for woman accused of posing as nurse to abduct baby

Tammy Roberson, 40, is accused of posing as a home health nurse and taking infant Jesse Peaster from his crib in rural
The baby's parents, Jake and Nancy Peaster, testified at Roberson's preliminary hearing. Nancy Peaster said she first met Roberson while still in the hospital after giving birth to her son. Roberson represented herself as a home health care nurse who was assigned to help the Peasters treat Jesse's jaundice, Nancy Peaster testified.
Roberson showed up at the Peaster home a day later, looked around the house, and left, added Nancy Peaster. A police officer also testified that when he interviewed Roberson at her home several hours later, she claimed she had given birth that day.
Charged with burglary and felonious assault, Roberson is being held on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court later this month.
