A 40-year-old woman was attacked November 17 in the parking lot of Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio, TX, according to KSAT-TV.
The victim told police she had just left the hospital when two men jumped out of a car and threatened to rape her in the dimly lit parking lot. The woman managed to fight off the men and ran back to the facility screaming for help.
The woman received treatment for minor cuts and scrapes in the hospital's emergency room. Police said a third man may have been waiting in the car, but they have little information because it was dark and no one witnessed the actual attack.
A hospital spokeswoman said the facility will look at its current safety procedures to see if any changes need to be made.
