A Houston hospital was placed on lockdown September 19 after shots rang out from three SUVs outside the facility's ER, as a man who said he had just been the victim of a drive-by shooting was dropped off, according to a report from Houstonpress.com.
The incident at East Houston Regional Medical Center, is under investigation by police, who have yet to determine how many shots were fired, but no injuries were reported at the hospital. The lockdown lasted about 90 minutes, the report said.
The man had apparently been shot in the back twice in a separate, off-site incident, and a passerby offered to give the man a ride to the hospital, the report said. As the victim was being dropped off, the shots came from at least three SUVs parked outside the hospital.
