Rescuers respond to mock helicopter crash at Massachusetts hospital

A parking lot at Lawrence (Mass.) General Hospital was teeming with police, fire, and ambulance workers Tuesday morning for a disaster training drill, according to a report from the Eagle-Tribune.
Rescuers responded to a parking lot at the hospital for a report of a helicopter crash with severe injuries. The drill simulated the crash of a helicopter with a patient on board, as it was lifting off from the hospital helipad, according to the paper.
According to the report, about 10 hospital and ambulance workers, complete with bloody makeup and a variety of injuries, were awaiting police, firefighters, and paramedics as they responded to the parking lot around 9:30 a.m.
