A Salisbury, Massachusetts man has been arraigned on several charges after making threats to the staff and facility of a nearby hospital because he was unhappy with his treatment in February, according to a report in the Daily News of Newburyport.
According to the report, 53-year-old Thomas Sanborn threatened to rape a medical professional, shoot a doctor, and burn down the Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport.
Court documents quoted by the paper indicate Sanborn underwent a CT scan at a clinic located in the hospital in early February, and when he called the hospital a few days later for results and was told he needed to call the hospital directly he made derogatory comments before hanging up.
Four days later, on Feb. 10, he again called, where the same representative repeated her message from earlier, and continued calling an estimated 15 to 25 times the next day. At one point he allegedly told the representative that he "should come to the office, rape you, shoot (an Anna Jaques Hospital doctor) and set fire to Anna Jaques Hospital."
