A worker in a New York City hospital was found dead in a facility bathroom, a week after he went to his employer's emergency department for treatment for an injured finger, according to a report in Campus Safety magazine.
According to the report, Anthony Iuso, 44, was a worker responsible for cleaning Montefiore Medical Center's operations room on the third floor. After triage nurses saw Iuso for his injured finger, he reportedly used the bathroom on the third floor, which was the last time anyone saw him alive. He apparently was locked in the bathroom.
Also according to the report, his family tried to contact him several that evening and the next day, before reaching out to the medical center and demanded they look at the video from the facility's security cameras. He was discovered dead in one of the hospital's locked bathrooms Oct. 5.
