A fire in the laundry facility at Delaware State Hospital in New Castle July 29 slightly damaged the roof, according to a report from the News Journal of Wilmington.
The fire, which was reported just after 7:30 p.m., was located on the roof, the report said, and firefighters did a search of the building to make sure there wasn't further damage, the report said.
Hospital officials quoted in the report said maintenance workers were on the roof earlier in the day and the fire was likely started as a result of their activities. The state fire marshal was on scene investigating the cause of the fire.
