Authorities are investigating a shooting at a hospital June 9 in San Marcos, Texas that left two people dead in what appears to be a murder-suicide, according to a report from USA Today.

The incident at Central Texas Medical Center was reported just after 7 a.m. after a woman found her mother and father dead in her mother's hospital room, according to the report.

Authorities quoted in the report said they weren’t sure who opened fire at the hospital, but said no police officers were involved, and that the 87-year-old man and 85-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene.
