An early morning fire at a hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin June 4 caused nearly $100,000 dollars in damage and forced the evacuation of five patients, according to a report from WEAU-TV.
According to the report, the fire broke out around 2 a.m. in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit on the second floor of Sacred Heart Hospital, and when fire crews arrived, hospital staff members were already evacuating five patients to another area of the hospital. No one was hurt.
Firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames and contain the fire to one small room on the floor. Crews believe a portable computer battery charging unit is to blame, WEAU also reported.
