An elderly man escaped with minor injuries after the car he driving crashed into the side of a Veterans Administration hospital last Friday, May 23, reports TV station WCVB.

The crash, which occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the West Roxbury portion of the city, involved a silver Lexus ES sedan that was driven through a wall at the hospital. Reports initially indicated the car went into the emergency room, but was later determined to be a mechanical room, reports said.

The driver was not seriously injured and was evaluated in the emergency room. WCVB also reported there were no evacuations after the crash, and the car did not strike an area where there were patients.
