Fire causes partial evacuation at Michigan Hospital

Patients are back in their rooms after a fire at Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont, Mich
According WZZM-TV, the fire was reported around 4 a.m. Wednesday at the Spectrum Health facility near downtown Fremont. About 19 patients were evacuated from the hospital's third floor.
Firefighters reported heavy smoke from a mechanical fire in an elevator shaft. They were able to put out the fire in less than 45 minutes.
