Three states seeing new cases of H3N2 flu
OSHA Healthcare Connection, August 21, 2012
Michigan and West Virginia have reported their first cases of the new variant of swine flu, H3N2, which is being linked to pig exposure at state fairs. In addition, Ohio has reported that its cases have increased from 54 a week ago up to 72 cases.
Officials are cautioning that washing hands with soap and water after contact with animals can help prevent people from becoming sick. The virus also poses no threat to human food.
