Hospital dinged for waste disposal practices

OSHA Healthcare Connection, June 5, 2012

An inspection by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services found that Concord Hospital was sending hazardous pharmaceutical waste to unauthorized waste disposal facilities and was issued a $205,000 fine. But the fine could be reduced if the hospital agrees to provide training to other facilities.
