San Diego hospitals pay for unlawful medical waste disposal

Civil lawsuits against two San Diego hospitals for medical waste disposal violations have been settled. Scripps Health Hospital will pay $272,870 in civil penalties and Sharp Memorial Hospital will pay $102,939.
