Hazmat response for medical waste exposure at MD hospital

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, had a hazmat scare when a contractor came into contact with medical waste with low-level radiation in a dumpster on its campus.
Fire and rescue units were called to the hospital and eleven people were evaluated, however, no one was injured. The contractor had the substance on his gloves.
