World Hepatitis Day: Take note of occupational prevention resources

Last week’s World Hepatitis Day, July 28, served as reminder that occupational exposure to hepatitis is a concern among healthcare workers. Hepatitis B (HBV) and hepatitis C (HCV) infections from needlesticks and other sharps injuries are actually more of a risk to healthcare workers than HIV, according to NIOSH.
