As part of an investigative series on workplace safety, Seattle public radio station KUOW-FM has announced that working as a nurse’s aide is the most violent job in the state, reports the Seattle Times.

The job beats out steel tower workers, commercial fishermen, and line workers for power companies. Western State Hospital—where criminal defendants deemed incompetent to stand trial [are taken?]—is the single most violent workplace, according to the investigation. Other hospitals suffer from emergency room violence.

The station found that violence strikes healthcare workers at six times the state average.
