Another person killed in FL hospital violence

A man who entered Physician’s Regional-Pine Ridge in Naples, FL on the evening of July 5 allegedly shot and killed his estranged wife before shooting and wounding himself, reports NaplesNews.com. A woman was killed while visiting a patient in the patient’s room. The shooter then shot himself before being apprehended by hospital staff and transported to another hospital.
The hospital shut down for two hours after the event. Some visitors were pulled into rooms by staff and held there for a short amount of time, reports NaplesNews.com
The violent incident is the second of its kind in a matter of months in the state. On May 26, a shooting in a parking garage near Florida Hospital in Orlando killed a physician.
