After an employee in an administration office on the Imaging Center on Beaumont Hospital’s campus, located in Royal Oak, MI, found some white powder in box of tissues, the hospital activated its emergency response plan, reports RoyalOakPatch.com.
The powder was later found to be harmless. Hospital officials called the fire department and evacuated a handful of people in the affected building. The episode lasted about two hours and did not affect normal hospital operations.
The powder was studied by the county hazard materials team.
