In keeping with the high priority that OSHA places on establishing an injury and illness prevention program (I2P2) standard, the agency has activated its I2P2 web page to get employers thinking, and acting, on developing such programs, even ahead of time.
I2P2-type initiatives are known by a variety of names, but they all focus on “universal interventions that can substantially reduce the number and severity of workplace injuries and alleviate the associated financial burdens on U.S. workplaces,” according to OSHA.
Read the featured post on the OSHA Healthcare Advisor for more information including a link to the I2P2 FAQ page, which explains how this program works with the General Duty Clause.
