CDC sets guidelines for lab competencies

The CDC and the Association of Public Health Laboratories issued Guidelines for Biosafety Laboratory Competency, April 15.

The guidelines identify the essential skills, knowledge, and abilities required for working with biologic agents at biosafety levels 2, 3, and 4 and with various levels of work experience, according to the document's summary.
