The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office will likely be taking over security at Valley Medical Center, San Jose, CA. The plan is for a sheriff’s lieutenant and sergeant to replace the chief and deputy chief of security at the hospital and oversee the current staff of security personnel.

The replacement is designed to increase response to violence and public safety issues.
