California hospitals would be required to tighten security if new bill passes

A California bill was given preliminary approval that would require workers to report violence in the facility and increase security measures.

The bill, which the California Nurses Association favors and the California Hospital Association opposes, is waiting to go to the state assembly appropriations committee before going to the full assembly.
