After a disaster occurs, hospitals turn to their emergency operation plans (EOP). Children’s Hospital in Boston puts its EOP on an emergency management website that gives everyone the information they need in the event of an emergency. Briefings on Hospital Safety’s March issue discusses the importance of having the EOP online so staff can access it instantly, instead of tucked away in a binder on a shelf.
