Vermont hospital concerned about emergency room violence

To enhance security, Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin will be limiting entrances to its emergency department starting on February 28.

With violence in emergency rooms increasing around the country, Mark Depman, MD, the department’s medical director, says the facility decided to require the public to enter the emergency department only through its main entrance, reports Fox 6 of Springfield, VT.
