Tip of the Week: Boston hospital's EM program is deficiency free and wins high praise

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s emergency management (EM) program scored high in its compliance with EM standards during a September 2010 Joint Commission (TJC) Survey.
TJC was especially impressed with the hospital’s emergency evacuation drill of the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Beth Israel’s director of EM, Meg Femino, noted the complexity of the drill and thinks people can learn from it.
