Shooting prompts hospital to add security features

On Tuesday, January 4, a man walked into the University of New Mexico Hospital and fired one shot on the pediatrics floor. This occurrence prompted the Albuquerque, NM hospital to take a closer look at their security system.

The hospital, which has no metal detectors or firearms policy, plans to explore taking further actions in adding these features, reported KOAT-TV of Albuquerque.
