Q: Is our physician-owned lab exempt from keeping the OSHA 300 log or just from posting it?

A: It is clear from the OSHA Recordkeeping Web page that medical labs, whether physician owned or independent, are exempt from “keep[ing] OSHA injury and illness records…unless they are asked in writing to do so by OSHA, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), or a state agency operating under the authority of OSHA or the BLS.”
