If your hospital hands out ID badges after hours for security purposes, make sure staff from the bottom-up are taking the badge system seriously. This means ensuring that leaders enforce the program and staff members routinely check badges to ensure they have not expired and that visitors are in the right place.

Also, make sure everyone who walks into the facility is required to wear a badge per your policy. Do not allow visitors to breeze past the front reception area without receiving a badge.
