Q: We have our code blue medical emergency system tied into the hospital’s fire alarm system, and the control panel is located next to the telephone operators. They are able to hear the code blue alarm and make the appropriate overhead page. We were told by a consultant that this combined use of the fire alarm system is not permitted. What do you say?
