Connecticut power plant explosion sends dozen to hospitals

An explosion at a natural-gas power plant in Middletown, CT, Sunday killed at least five people and sent 12 to local hospitals, reports the Wall Street Journal. An underdetermined number of people are still missing.
The Boston Globe reports that the number of those missing is underdetermined because officials are still working on getting rosters from contractors and labor union officials. Injuries ranged from minor to very serious.
During the time of the incident, workers were purging a gas pipe line.
