NY gamers will receive emergency terrorist warnings

New York state authorities have a plan in the works to use a video game system to disseminate warnings about terrorist attacks, according to BioPrepWatch.com.
Rico Singleton, the state's deputy chief information officer, says the goal of the program is to alert younger residents who spend a lot of time playing video games to possible threats.
The effort is par of New York's Empire 2.0 program, which aims to make the government more participatory and collaborative.
