Feds say protect workers with respirators, not masks, for H1N1

The CDC updated the interim guidance on H1N1 protection for healthcare workers recommending protection with fit-tested N95 respirators instead of procedure or surgical masks on October 14.
Within hours of the CDC’s announcement, OSHA said it will follow with a compliance directive that will closely follow the CDC interim guidance to ensure uniform inspection procedures.
