Q: Are MRSA exposures covered under OSHA?
A: MRSA exposures are covered, according to an OSHA spokesperson, as reported in the August issue of Medical Environment Update.
With so much MRSA in the community, however, it is often difficult to trace it to a single occupational event.
Employers are still obligated to respond to a MRSA exposure report and determine whether it is work related.
