Ruling on guns in workplace parking lots upheld

Oklahoma employers may not prohibit workers from having firearms in locked cars on company parking lots, even if it is part of a workplace violence prevention policy.

The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling on this matter will stand after the filing deadline passed for further legal appeals, according to a May 20 news release from Oklahoma Attorney General's Office.
