OSHA will enforce pandemic-related regulations

Strained resources and lack of supplies won’t get you a pass from OSHA regulations during an influenza pandemic.

“OSHA stands prepared to use its existing authority to aggressively enforce safe work practices to ensure employees receive appropriate protection,” said Jordan Barab, acting assistant secretary of OSHA, in testimony before the House Education and Labor Committee Hearing on ensuring preparedness against the flu virus at school and work.
