State acts on doctor associated with hepatitis outbreak

New Jersey state regulators have suspended the medical license of an oncologist who could have potentially infected nearly 3,000 patients with hepatitis B.

Investigators allegedly found egregious infection control errors at the Toms River, N.J., office of Parvez Dara, MD, after five cancer patients tested positive for hepatitis B.
