On scrubs and lab coats outside the work area

With a crackdown on infectious diseases, there has been some media buzz about wearing scrubs outside of the work area.

Although some healthcare facilities have created policies barring scrubs outside of the premises, there are no regulations or standards prohibiting staff members from doing so, says Terry Jo Gile, MT(ASCP), MA Ed, president of The Safety Lady, LLC, in North Ft. Myers, FL.
