As the weeks count down to the 3rd Annual Hospital Safety Center Symposium May 14-15 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, we want to highlight one of the many sessions that attendees will enjoy.
Dean Samet, CHSP, director of regulatory compliance for Smith Seckman Reid, Inc., based in Nashville, will be a featured speaker. In his presentation, “The Joint Commission’s new scoring system: How it will change your surveys,” Samet will analyze the criticality scoring model the commission unveiled in January.
This new scoring system will likely cause more headaches for safety officers and facility director than any other Joint Commission changes that occurred this year, Samet said.
The 3rd Annual Hospital Safety Center Symposium is a convenient and increasingly economical way to educate yourself and your staff members about important topics in just a day-and-a-half. Early-bird registration of $795 lasts until March 13, and $199 rooms are also available until that date at Caesars Palace.
