Heavy snow cripples London, creates surge at hospitals

The United States isn’t the only country where winter weather has taken its toll. Heavy snow blanketed much of Great Britain on Monday, taking the country by surprise with its severity despite weather forecasts that predicted the precipitation.
In London, which does not routinely see much winter snow, the trains stopped running and hospitals turned back non-emergency patients, reported The New York Times.
