Q: What frequency does OSHA require for proper hand washing surveillance?

A: Although the bloodborne pathogens standards require employers to ensure that workers perform hand hygiene after removing gloves or after contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials, it does not set the frequency of surveillance for that work practice.
