With The Joint Commission’s new life safety standards taking effect on January 1, let’s quickly review some important points related to these standards.
The life safety chapter incorporates provisions previously listed under EC.5.20, which requires compliance with the Life Safety Code, Statement of Conditions, and EC.5.50, which outlines interim life safety measures.
