In light of the recent earthquakes and wildfires in California, more emphasis has been placed on the Emergency Management Guide for Nursing Homes, which was recently released by the Florida Healthcare Association (FLHA).
The guide features information on the Nursing Home Incident Command System, as well as how to develop an emergency plan, and details for creating a policy. Included is the Comprehensive Emergency Management Software Application for Nursing Homes, whichtakes managers through a step-by-step process to address specific hazards.
