A New Hampshire dental office is facing hefty fines after receiving one willful citation and six serious citations from OSHA.
Allcare Dental's Nashua office has been cited for failing to meet occupational health standards after an employee suffered a needlestick injury, according to an OSHA news release. OSHA's bloodborne pathogens standard requires a facility to provide an employee injured by a needlestick with no-cost medical evaluation as well as testing of the source individual.
Allcare Dental is looking at $76,500 in fines, including one willful citation priced at $63,000. The facility has 15 business days to meet the standards or challenge the allegations.
