Check fire department connections every three months

A provision in Joint Commission standard EC.5.40 requires facilities to conduct quarterly inspections on fire department connections to the building’s sprinkler system. These connections, located on the exterior of a facility, allow the fire department to supplement the water supply to the sprinkler system.
