Facility directors need to know about several new stances from The Joint Commission, George Mills, FASHE, CEM, CHFM, senior engineer for the accreditor, said at the American Society for Healthcare Engineering’s (ASHE) annual conference in National Harbor, MD, in July.

Perhaps the most useful provision Mills discussed concerned alleviating corridor clutter by using dead- end corridor space to store unattended items.
