Decrying the low rate of healthcare workers flu vaccination, the National Foundation for Infectious Disease offers ideas to improve the situation.
Possible strategies to consider include:
- Sending mobile vaccination carts around to units to inoculate workers
- Offering flu shots to clinicians during grand rounds
- Using gift incentive programs to influence workers to receive vaccination
